This Privacy Policy explains how digiWatchr ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Name, email address, and age — collected when you create an account
- Authentication tokens via Firebase Authentication (email/password or Google Sign-In)
- Email verification status
Usage Data
- URLs and email addresses you submit for security analysis
- Analysis results (phishing score, verdict) associated with your account
- App rating and feedback comments if you choose to submit them
- Anonymized analytics events via Firebase Analytics — the actual URLs submitted are not included in analytics events
Device & Technical Data
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token for push notifications
- Crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics (device model, OS version, stack traces)
- App language preference
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To perform URL and email security analysis via our backend service
- To maintain your history of checked URLs
- To send push notifications about security alerts and app updates
- To improve app stability and performance using crash reports
- To respond to your support requests
3. Share Extension
When you use the digiWatchr Share Extension from Safari or other apps, the shared URL is temporarily stored in a local shared container on your device to pass it to the main app. This data is not stored on external servers beyond the normal URL analysis request.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with:
- Firebase (Google): For authentication, database, analytics, messaging, and crash reporting — governed by Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy)
- Our backend API (digiwatchr.in): URLs and emails you submit for analysis are sent to our server for security evaluation
- Legal obligations: If required by law or to protect our rights
5. Data Retention & Account Deletion
- Account data is retained while your account is active
- You can permanently delete your account and all associated data directly from the app — open the side menu and tap Delete Account
- Anonymized analytics data may be retained for up to 14 months per Firebase Analytics defaults
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Delete your account and all associated data directly from the app via the side menu → Delete Account
- Opt out of push notifications via your device settings

7. Children's Privacy
digiWatchr is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We use Firebase's security infrastructure and Firebase Authentication tokens to protect your data.
